Barra Lodge

Maputo
Formerly the Portuguese city of Lourenco Marques, Maputo is the capital of Mozambique.
Situated on the shores of the Indian Ocean the city has various points of interest including the Casa do Ferro [House of Iron] designed by Alexandre Eiffel, who originally erected the famous Parisian Eiffel Tower.
Maputo is know for its prawn seafood fare, and the hot African chilli pepper sauce - Peri Peri.
Portuguese Island
The island is an uninhabited nature reserve with pristine beaches, dense vegetation, pleasant lagoons and small patches of mangrove. The Islands are located next to the larger Inhaca Island, a Royal Kingdom. A short optional transfer to the neighbouring Island of Inhaca allows you to visit a local village, bars, restaurants and souvenir merchants. A Beach BBQ is offered on Portuguese Island, weather dependent.
