| Directions to the passenger terminal - N-Shed - at Durban Harbour
From Pietermaritzburg
- Follow the N3 to Durban and pass the Pavillion Shopping Centre on your right.
- Continue to follow the "Durban City / Stad" signage.
- As the highway ends, at the traffic lights, turn right into Dr Usuf Dadoo Street (previously Grey Street).
- Cross over West and Smith Street.
- At the T-junction, turn left into Margaret Mncadi Ave (previously Victoria Embankment).
- Follow the road through five sets of traffic lights, at the sixth traffic light - Stalwart Simelane Street (previously Stanger Street) is on your left and Quayside Road on your right - keep to the right hand lane.
- Turn right into Quayside Road.
- Continue through the security boom and follow the signs to N-shed.
From the North Coast
- Follow the M4 - Northern Freeway which runs along the coast.
- Cross over Argyle Road and continue.
- Travel past CR Swart Police Station, cross over Somtseu, Old Fort Road, Ordane, Pine Street, West Street and Smith Street.
- At the traffic lights after Smith Street turn right into Margaret Mncadi Ave (previously Victoria Embankment). Stay in the left hand lane.
- At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Quayside Road.
- Continue through the security boom and follow the signs to N-shed.
From the South Coast
- Follow the M4
- Take the Margaret Mncadi Ave (previously Victoria Embankment) off ramp.
- Follow the road until you reach the set of traffic lights where Stalwart Simelane Street (previously Stanger Street) is on your left and Quayside Road on your right - keep to the right hand lane.
- Turn right into Quayside Road.
- Continue through the security boom and follow the signs to N-shed.
